Here at Horizon Stone, we believe in more than just crafting beautiful stone – we’re about building stronger communities, one beautiful piece at a time. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with the incredible folks at HomeAid Georgia, whose dedication to providing safe and welcoming homes for those facing homelessness truly hits home for us.

Our President, PJ Haberstock, couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration. He says, “Now that HomeAid Atlanta has grown into HomeAid Georgia, being based here in Chattanooga, TN, we feel even better positioned to support their vital work in creating secure and dignified housing for people at risk.” It’s a chance for us to give back right here in our region.

Hearing directly from HomeAid Georgia’s Mandy Crater, HomeAid Georgia Executive Director, puts this partnership’s impact into perspective. She shared how our support can immediately make a difference at Gigi’s House, a safe haven for teen girls escaping human trafficking. “This project could really use some assistance making the grounds aesthetically pleasing, providing a welcoming environment for the girls.” Imagine the difference a beautiful, inviting space can make for these young women.

Craters also highlighted the importance of the “Pathway to Dignity” at Breakthru House, a place of healing for women overcoming addiction. “We would love for something like this to be installed again as part of the finished Breakthru House project.” This simple pathway was a place for reflection and symbolized their journey – and it’s an area where our stone can truly help rebuild not just a path but a sense of hope.

For us at Horizon Stone, this partnership just makes sense. As PJ Haberstock says, “Aligning our resources with the building products and home building community is a powerful way to tackle homelessness.” We can directly contribute our materials to projects that might otherwise struggle, helping to create real, tangible change.

And it’s not just about the physical materials. Craters points out the bigger picture: “HomeAid provides financial savings on construction projects for nonprofit service providers. These savings can then be used to provide for clients’ basic needs, parenting, job skills classes, and financial planning classes—the things that truly help people rebuild their lives.” She adds, The appearance of stone would enhance our projects and help provide a welcoming, home-like environment.” It’s about creating a sense of dignity and belonging.

Haberstock emphasizes the heart behind our involvement: “Our core values of Integrity – delivering quality with honesty – and Collaboration – working together for positive results – really align with HomeAid Georgia’s mission.”

We believe in rolling up our sleeves and working together to make a real difference.

Looking ahead, both Horizon Stone and HomeAid Georgia are excited with anticipation. Craters already envisions the impact: “Having a partner like Horizon Stone provide materials for our projects will elevate the look and feel of these important places, making an incredibly positive impact for future generations.”

Haberstock sums it up perfectly: “We see this as the start of something really meaningful. If we can contribute to reducing homelessness for those striving for a better future, then we know we’re doing something right.”

We’re incredibly proud to partner with HomeAid Georgia and can’t wait to see the beautiful things we can build together—not just with stone but with hope.
